All about the Aguas Ricas Cultural Tour.

Mariano is  part of the indigenous Ngöbe community from Alto Laguna, located 8 km away from La Palma de Puerto Jiménez. His traditional knowledge makes the tour a very special one since his stories are the same stories that his ancestors have preserved for decades.  Throughout his tour, you will observe how native indigenous people live, learn from what they eat and be part of a very special indigenous community that now shares their ancient traditions with the world.

At Aguas Ricas, you will have the opportunity to learn from ancient traditions at the heart of the Ngöbe culture. Mariano and his family can also offer rustic accommodation  (bed and breakfast) if you want to stay a bit longer. A swim in the river that passes close to the lodge is a must! Be attentive: the local flora is simply fascinating.

In addition, his family promotes the preservation of Ngöbe knowledge and customs which are absolutely gorgeous.

Things to bring: Sunscreen, insect repellent, tennis shoes or closed sandals, light and quick dry clothes, hat or cap, handkerchief, camera, binoculars (optional).
