This place has a long history of gold-digging and hunting, but, thanks to ecotourism and community efforts, its inhabitants see a promising future. By visiting El Tigre you will support a local association with a direct impact on the community.
The hike begins in the town's communal center, right next to the school. You hike a total of 8 Km through primary forest and very irregular terrain. This is a tough hike recommended for experienced hikers.
The treat during this hike is a look-out point where you can enjoy the spectacular view of the Golfo Dulce.
